We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Financial Analyst
Responsibilities
- Ensures the development of and implement policies, systems, and procedures to identify,record, value, depreciate, account, and report on fixed assets and comply with accountingstandards and treasury policy, and requirements.
- Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections areapplied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for, and miscellaneous differences are cleared.
- Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and mail.
- Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating anddistribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
- Prepare analytical and ratio analyses relevant to A/R so management can gain a better understanding of how collection efforts are progressing.
- Support the company in optimizing our financial transactions and systems by performingreconciliation of payments and customer accounts.
- Gather and verify invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment.
- Support other accounting and finance team members, inventory management, and costaccounting.
- Assist in streamlining the accounts receivable process by identifying areas for performanceimprovement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND preferably in business administration, finance, accounting or managerial sciences.
- Professional accounting certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a related industry
- Analytical skills.
- Excellent understanding ofprinciples of finance, accounting, andbookkeeping.
- Ability to keep company and partner confidences.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Problem solving skills.
- Ability to work either independently or collaboratively as needed.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
