Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the USTC 2025 Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Nationality: Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens holding a valid passport.
  • Health: Candidates should be mentally and physically healthy.
  • Educational Qualifications:
    • Master’s applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
    • Doctoral applicants must hold a master’s degree (or equivalent).
    • Those expecting to graduate in 2025 must submit a pre-graduation certificate to confirm they will obtain their degree by July 2025.
  • Age Limit:
    • Master’s program applicants should be under 40 years of age by September 1, 2025.
    • Doctoral program applicants should be under 45 years of age by September 1, 2025.
  • Language Proficiency:
    • Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must pass HSK Level 4 or above.
    • Applicants for English-taught programs must provide proof of English proficiency, such as IELTS or TOEFL scores.

Note: Proficiency in English or Chinese is required. Some programs may require additional language proof or entrance exams.
